iPresas part of the multidisciplinary team giving the course ‘Risk analysis in the rail sector’ in Madrid (Spain)

The course promoted by Spanish Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos Canales y Puertos, Adif and Ineco took place on November 13th and 14th.

The 13th and 14th of November the Betancourt Auditorium (Madrid) hosted the ‘Risk analysis in the rail sector’ course promoted by Spanish Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos Canales y Puertos (Professional Association of Civil Engineers), Adif and Ineco. The course highlighted the relevance of the risk analysis in civil engineering and remarked that it is an “indispensable activity in every stage of publics works: design, construction and post-construction”, in the words of Colegio’s Vice President José Polimón.

However, despite its importance, the risk analysis has not yet had in Spanish rail sector the widespread use it has in other fields, in which its application is much more usual, such as aeronautical or hydraulic engineering. Due to his knowledge in risk analysis, iPresas‘ CTO Adrián Morales was invited to share his experience in the application of dam and hydraulic infrastructures risk analysis. This allowed an exchange of very useful experiences with the other civil engineering sectors in front of an auditorium with more than 200 participants.
