On 24 September, Adrián Morales Torres, Managing Partner at iPresas, participated as a speaker in the webinar organised by the Indonesian National Committee on Large Dams (INACOLD), entitled Application of Risk Management in Dam Planning and Construction.
During his presentation, Adrián introduced different methodologies for risk analysis and management in conventional dams and tailings dams. Through several case studies, he explained how these approaches provide a better understanding of infrastructure safety, help identify the main risk factors and support the efficient prioritisation of measures and actions.
He also highlighted the advantages of incorporating risk analysis as a decision-support tool throughout the different stages of a dam’s lifecycle. The presentation included a demonstration of the web-based platform developed by iPresas to integrate risk analysis results, facilitate their updating and support continuous risk management.
The webinar was held online and brought together more than 580 participants, reflecting the growing international interest in applying risk-based methodologies to dam safety and management.
iPresas’ participation in the event provided an opportunity to share its international experience and contribute to the exchange of knowledge with dam professionals and institutions in Indonesia.
