The main responsibilities included:
■ Complete preparation of a technical guide on dam risk analysis, aimed at strengthening the safety management of these infrastructures in India. The guide, entitled “GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSING AND MANAGING RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DAMS IN INDIA”, addressed the assessment and management of risks associated with dams.
■ Review and amendment of three other technical guides prepared within the framework of the DRIP project, with the aim of contributing to their development and suitability within the project’s set of technical documents.
■ Development and description of two dam risk analysis case studies for inclusion as reference examples in the aforementioned Guide. The first concerned a system comprising two dams located in Spain: a 47 m high curved-plan gravity dam and a 65 m high homogeneous embankment dam. The second case study concerned a 70 m high masonry dam located in India.
