The general objective of the consultancy is to provide support to the IDB for the development of a quantitative risk analysis that allows identifying the baseline risk profile and its future variation under different scenarios for the expansion of the CA-09 North Corridor, Mayuelas – Teculután section.
In addition, the measures to incorporate resilience to natural disasters and climate change into the project will be optimized, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the intervention.
Robust incorporation of the Climate Change process in precipitation analysis.
Technical support to the external consultant for the update of the base hydrological and hydraulic model.
Technical support in the development of the hydraulic model using HydroBID.
A quantitative flood risk analysis is carried out, and recommendations are made both for the optimization of the project’s final designs and for improving community risk conditions.
Development of the Disaster Risk Management Plan (DRMP) for mitigation and management of residual risk.
