The consultancy sought to identify potential mechanisms that could affect the safety, functionality and continuity of the infrastructure and to develop recommendations for integrating disaster risk management and climate change adaptation into the design of the works.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The work included a review of the available documentation, a technical site visit and the development of a hydrological model to characterise the hydrological and hydraulic behaviour of the area crossed by the road. This assessment supported the analysis of the most critical points along the route and the estimation of flows associated with the principal scenarios considered.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As part of the project, iPresas organised and facilitated a Failure Mode Identification Workshop through a series of group working sessions. The identified failure modes were subsequently assessed and classified, and the results were presented in a detailed report containing recommendations to improve the design of the proposed interventions. Training was also provided on the methodology and its application to the qualitative assessment of natural hazards.<\/p><p>The consultancy also included support for and review of the design process to ensure that the recommendations arising from the failure mode identification were incorporated into the works.
