The event, organised by the <strong data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"491\">Mexican Society for Geotechnical Engineering \u2014 SMIG \u2014<\/strong>, brought together national and international specialists to address the main technical challenges associated with the planning, design, construction, operation, closure and management of tailings deposits.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-393499d e-grid e-con-full e-ecs-grid e-con e-child\" data-id=\"393499d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;ecs_container_type&quot;:&quot;grid&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4051b92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4051b92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"699\" data-end=\"955\">As part of the pre-conference course programme, iPresas delivered the workshop <strong data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"818\">\u201cRisk-Based Tailings Dam Management\u201d<\/strong>, a training session aimed at strengthening decision-making in tailings dam safety through semi-quantitative risk analysis methodologies.<\/p><p data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"1335\">The session was delivered by <strong data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1011\">Adri\u00e1n Morales-Torres<\/strong>, who led a practical and participatory workshop based on the simulation of a real risk analysis workshop.
