iPresas participates in the 2nd Spanish-Argentina Workshop on Dam Safety in Madrid (Spain)

The 2nd Spanish-Argentina Workshop on Dam Safety was held in Madrid, Spain, from July 8th to 9th.

On the occasion of the cooperation in water management between the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition (MITECO) and the Argentinian Ministry of Interior, Public Works and Housing, the 2nd Spanish-Argentina Workshop on Dam Safety was held in Madrid on July 8th and 9th.

This Workshop had the presentations of different experts on dam safety, both from Argentina and Spain, and it was organized in four sessions: introduction, hydrological and hydraulic tools for reservoir safety management, flood and drought management in rivers regulated by dams, and modern criteria in dam safety.

During the aforementioned last session, Adrián Morales, CTO at iPresas, contributed to the Workshop through a presentation entitled “Risk analysis as a modern management, maintenance, conservation and improvement element in dam safety”.

This 2nd Spanish-Argentina Workshop was organized for the General Water Directorate (MITECO) together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Policy and the Dam Safety Regulatory Body (ORSEP) of the Argentinian Ministry of Interior, Public Works and Housing. In addition, it was supported by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF).
