iPresas participates in a Workshop on Fundamentals, Practical tools and Applications of Risk Informed Dam Safety Management

In addition to the 9th ICOLD European Club Symposium, a workshop on “Fundamentals, Practical tools and Applications of Risk Informed Dam Safety Management”, was held at the NH Laguna Palace Venice Mestre on April 9, 2013.

This Workshop, organized by the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) in collaboration with RSE SpA (Italy), focused on fundamentals of risk-informed dam safety management, along with practical tools for application of risk analysis and real-world case studies, including examples from Italy, Spain and the United States.

Ignacio Escuder (iPresas founding partner) and Luis Altarejos (iPresas CTO R&D) have participated in this Workshop, moderating working sessions and presenting practical examples of the application of the iPresas software for risk calculation and management, applied to a portfolio of dams with the aim of prioritizing risk reduction measures and support decision making.

The Workshop had 35 participants from 13 countries (Austria, Egypt, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Turkey and United States).
